Some of our best year 6 footballers attended the Epsom College Football tournament on Wednesday 23rd September 2026.
It was a fantastic event which saw our players take part in some high performance 5-aside matches amongst a pool of 20 schools.
Our squad did an amazing job finishing high in the group stages. In the semi finals our team dominated the game seeing great teamwork, firing in a number of shots that secured a place in the final. It was extremely tense and although WFJS put a number of attacking plays together the ball failed to find the back of the net. Penalties meant that WFJS just missed out on taking the plate home.
Massive thank you to the players whose skills, teamwork and supportive sportsmanship attitude is something we can be very proud of. Also thank you to Jamie Day for getting the most out of the players, and the parents for their support.
