Welcome from our Headteacher

Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome to the Wallace Fields Junior School website.

We are proud of our warm, inclusive and ambitious school community, where children thrive academically, socially and personally. Our dedicated staff work hard to provide a broad and engaging curriculum, alongside a wide range of clubs, trips, sporting opportunities and creative experiences that help every child develop confidence, resilience and a love of learning.

Our most recent Ofsted inspection recognised many of the strengths that make our school special, including:

  • Strong academic outcomes, particularly in reading.
  • Calm, respectful behaviour and positive relationships.
  • A broad and ambitious curriculum.
  • A commitment to inclusion, ensuring every child feels valued and supported.
  • Effective leadership focused on continuous improvement.

At Wallace Fields Junior School, we believe that close collaboration with parents and carers is essential. We work in partnership with families and the wider community to ensure children are happy, safe and inspired to achieve their full potential.

Our pupils enjoy memorable residential trips in Years 4, 5 and 6, achieve success in sport, music and the arts, and benefit from a stimulating learning environment where progress is carefully supported and celebrated. Alongside face-to-face and online parent consultations, we also offer a range of workshops and resources to help families support their children's learning and wellbeing, including guidance on online safety.

We warmly welcome prospective families to visit the school and experience our friendly atmosphere first-hand. School tours are usually held during the autumn term and are led by our Year 6 prefects. I look forward to meeting you and sharing what makes Wallace Fields Junior School such a special place to learn and grow.

Thank you for visiting our website.

Mr Steve Lee, Headteacher
