We achieve this by:
- Following safer recruitment procedures for all staff, volunteers and governors.
- Teaching children how to stay safe, including online.
- Providing safeguarding and online safety information for parents.
- Ensuring children feel secure and confident to share concerns.
- Training all staff to recognise and report safeguarding concerns.
- Working closely with families and external agencies when needed.
- Promoting a culture free from bullying, discrimination and harm.

Wellbeing
Children's wellbeing is central to life at Wallace Fields Junior School. Our Wellbeing Champions and Emotional Literacy Support Assistants (ELSAs) provide additional support to help pupils thrive emotionally as well as academically.

Anti-Bullying
We are committed to ensuring all children learn in a safe, caring and respectful environment. Any concerns about bullying are taken seriously, investigated promptly and addressed in line with our Anti-Bullying Policy. Click here to see all our policies.
Online Safety
Online safety is taught throughout the curriculum and reinforced through assemblies, PSHE lessons and dedicated online safety sessions. Children learn how to use technology responsibly, safely and positively both in school and at home.
The school Internet access is provided by ISP Talk Straight and includes filtering which appropriate to the age of pupils. We have Netsweeper with Talk Straight as well as SENSO to monitor children’s internet use.
Our Online Safety Coordinators are Mr Steve Lee (Headteacher) and Miss S Hill (Computing Lead).
