We are so looking forward to seeing all the children, their parents and siblings at Epsom College Chapel on Monday 15th December 2025 from 16:00. Please help the event go smoothly by reading all the final details below.
We Expect All Children to Attend Unless Informed
If for religious reasons your child is unable to attend, please either send a written note to the class teacher or email the school office as soon as possible. If we do not hear from you then we shall expect your child to attend the rehearsal (on the morning from school) and the evening service.
What Does My Child Need to Wear?
All children should wear full school uniform and make sure hair is brushed and tied back. They will need to wear a coat as they will be walking to and from the chapel, and entry and exit may involve some standing outside whatever the weather.
No Parking at Epsom College
There will be no parking at Epsom College this year so you will need to leave enough time to park in local streets and walk up to the chapel. Please be considerate to local residents when parking and walk whenever possible. If you require disable parking then please contact Wallace Fields Junior School office by Friday 12th December 2025 and we can investigate and arrange permission with Epsom College.
Arriving at Christmas Concert
Please drop pupils off a the side door at 18:00 and then parents, carers and siblings should queue up to enter through the back door. Please be prepared to queue outside whatever the weather. Please see the diagram below.
Due to large numbers entering the chapel please queue on the right hand side allowing space for disabled access on the ramp and for children to enter.
Epsom College now have multi media screens so all seats should have a good view of the children and there are plenty of seats for everyone. There is also extra seating behind the children and on the balcony at the back of the chapel (above the entrance).
The concert will start at approximately 18:40 and will last for about an hour
Exit and Collection from Christmas Concert
Concert should be finished by about 19:40.
After the concert, parents and visitors will exit out of the main back doors of the church only. All WFJS children exit out of the side door. See the diagram below.
The Year 3 (and siblings of Year 3 with siblings) leave first, then Year 4 (and siblings of Year 4) and so on. There will be marked out areas, on the grass, to the side of the chapel for each year group. The children will wait with their class teacher in their year group area.
Pupils are collected from teachers/staff from area at the side of chapel - please be patient and wait behind the rope cordon. All children will be dismissed directly by their teacher to their parent/carer. Please see the diagram below.
Parents/Carers may give permission below for their child to be collected by someone other than themselves by clicking here and completing this Google form. Please complete this form for each child.
No child is permitted to walk home alone.
Safeguarding is our key concern and so we appreciate your patience at the end of the concert.
Supporting Save the Children
At the end of our upcoming concert, we will be raising funds for Save the Children. As you leave, some of our pupils will be cheerfully shaking collection buckets to gather donations. We kindly ask families to bring along some cash so that together we can support this wonderful cause.
Thank you in advance for your generosity and for helping us make a difference.
Special Guests and Governors
We are so lucky to have so many people that give their time for free to the school whether as school governors, reading helpers, librarians, or teaching helpers. Many of our helpers are retired and have helped listen to children read for many years. One way to thank them is to offer them and one guest priority seating at the Christmas concert. The school office staff will allow those on the guest list to have slightly earlier access at the same time as staff through a side entrance and sit in the seating marked reserved. No one else will be permitted through this door.
There will be a few seats also reserved for key PTA personnel who have been emailed; we would be grateful if they could enter with the other parents and speak to a member of staff at the front who will show them the reserved seats.
Photos and Videos Permitted - Do Not Share on Social Media
We love seeing families capture the special moments from our school and club events, and you are very welcome to take photographs and record videos to treasure at home. We kindly ask that these remain for personal use only and are not shared on social media or any public platform, as some children cannot be included and we want to protect everyone’s privacy and digital footprint.
Thank you for helping us keep these memories safe while making our events joyful for all!
