All the details have been sent to parents about their residential trip in separate emails but the key reminders are as follows:-

  • Departure on Tuesday 6th May - children to arrive at school at 8.40am - 8.50am for normal registration.  Your child will be met at the school gate and they will be directed to their classroom to leave their suitcase and rucksack.  Children will eat lunch at school as normal and will leave just after lunch for Marchants Hill.
  • If your child is ill on the day of trip and is unable to attend the trip, please telephone the school early on the day and speak to the trip leader.
  • Sun cream - Children will be reminded repeatedly when appropriate, but application of sun cream and lip balms is the responsibility of the child. Please ensure your child knows how to apply.
  • Photographs - As we are no longer using twitter, we we will email parents to let you know of our safe arrival.  We will share a whole year group photo each day from Wednesday, but will no longer be posting individual or small group photos whilst away.  We will, however, share further photos on our return via the website or weekly newsletter.
  • Estimated time of return to school on Friday 9th May at 3.00pm.  Any change to this time on the day, will be sent out via email.  Please do not telephone the school office. If we are much later than this time, and you have Wallace Fields Infant School child to collect, we will keep them at school until the end of the school day.
  • Safeguarding and Welfare - If we are concerned about your child for any reason, we will contact you directly.  Please be assured, safeguarding measures and rigorous risk assessments are in place.
