I am writing to inform you of an important change to our forthcoming school events due to the very high temperatures forecast for this Friday, which have now been predicted to rise even further.
After careful consideration, we have taken the decision to postpone our School Summer Fair Celebration event to Friday 3rd July 2026. The timings will remain the same, and I am pleased to confirm that all planned activities will still go ahead, including: Performances, Inflatables, Dragon’s Den stalls, Ice cream van, Sweet Tombola, Bottle Tombola, Refreshments, And all other elements of the day.
We fully appreciate that this change may cause some inconvenience. However, we feel strongly that delivering only part of the event would not provide the full experience our children deserve, and more importantly, the predicted heat makes it unsuitable for a safe and comfortable event for everyone involved.
Looking ahead to next Friday, where sunny weather is still forecast, we kindly remind all parents and audience members to come prepared with appropriate sun protection, including parasols, sunscreen, and hats.
Volunteers Needed for the School Fair
The PTA works incredibly hard to organise this fantastic event for our children and community, though they can’t do it without your help.
They are looking for volunteer helpers to support the fair and ensure it’s a great success. Whether you can spare a little or a lot of time, every bit of help makes a big difference.
If you’re able to lend a hand, please get in touch and we can pass on your details to the PTA. We would love to have you involved!
In addition, due to the continuing hot weather conditions, Sports Day has also been rescheduled to Wednesday 1st July 2026. The timings will remain unchanged, and we warmly encourage parents and carers to attend and support the children. Please be aware that there is limited shade on the field, so bringing effective sun protection will be essential.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support. As always, the safety and wellbeing of our children and community must come first. We look forward to welcoming you to both events under safer and more enjoyable conditions.
